The reason i have posted this video is because i like the way in which they have used snippets of film from gigs and added them together with an almost documentary style filming of the band just following them about i am not interested in using the song but i am interested in the style. This is something i could look to do with one of hull's local bands, following them to gig and filming ect. The band i am looking to do this with is The Tennents.

The Mystery Jets- Young Love (featuring laura marling)
My reasons for posting this video is because i am fond of the song featuring Laura Marling and it is potentially a song i could use for my video. however more so then that i likes the way in which they shot the video and the use of text. seeing this video has created new artistic ideas as to how i should approach my music video. For example the idea of adding snippets of animation?.
The Cribs- Be Safe
The Cribs have not actually made a Video for the Song 'Be safe', however i have found another internet users interpretation of the song that he composed for his final project at university.
The Cribs are a British indie rock band from Wakefield, the band members consist of twins Ryan and Garry Jarmin and there younger brother Ross Jarmin. The cribs where formed in late 2001 when after a number of gigs and recordings they realised a split 7 single under the predominantly punk label squirrel records. however after a few high profile support slots they decided in 2004 to sign with independent label Wichita Records. The first recording with Witchita records had a stripped back, rough and kitchen sink feel. this is something the band has maintained throughout there albums and is partly the reason that i enjoy there music so much. The Cribs unrefined raw approach to music makes for a more interesting less commercial song, this therefore supports the genre of indie rock and its associations with individuality and striving to avoid mainstream charts .
